Now the new rules on Enroute IR is finally published by EASA, EIR pilots will soon need to specify VFR/IFR and IFR/VFR transition points in their flightplans. I hope Skydemon will be able to handle this in the near future.




It should be able to appoint transition points by point-and-click the same way you designate other waypoints. The app should check MSA at the transition point (1000 ft to highest terrain/obstacle within 5 NM) and also check if the cloud ceiling - based on nearest reported weather - is higher than the point MSA.

Most people who want SkyDemon to file IFR also want SkyDemon to generate their route. This is not unreasonable. But, it means that we would only really be prepared to do one if we also did the other. We don't want to do either, at the moment. SkyDemon is targeted at the VFR market.
